HAPPY WORLD RED CROSS DAY
World Red Cross Day holds special significance for us at the Red Cross.
It is a day when we celebrate the incredible work that our volunteers and staff do every day, and reflect on the importance of our mission to build safe, healthy and resilient communities.
As we look back on the last few years, we are reminded of the immense challenges that we faced as a Movement.
We saw natural disasters, conflicts, and a global pandemic that affected people around the world. But despite these challenges, the Red Cross continued to work tirelessly to provide assistance to those in need.
Our volunteers and staff were on the front lines, providing critical services to vulnerable communities. They distributed food and shelter, provided medical care, and helped people stay safe and healthy. They showed resilience, courage, and compassion in the face of adversity, and we are incredibly proud of their work.
But we also know that there is more work to be done.
As we celebrate World Red Cross Day, we must remain committed to our vision of a resilient Fiji. We must continue to adapt and innovate, finding new ways to provide assistance to those in need.
So this World Red Cross Day, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our volunteers and staff. You are the heart and soul of the Red Cross, and your work is an inspiration to us all.
I also want to thank our partners and donors for their support. Your generosity has allowed us to continue our work, even in the most challenging of circumstances.
Finally, I want to reaffirm our commitment to our vision. We will continue to work tirelessly to build a resilient Fiji and to build a more resilient, more compassionate world.
Vinaka,
Ragigia Dawai
