NEW MANAGER PROGRAMS
Monday 08th May, 2023 Suva, Fiji – Fiji Red Cross Society, the leading community-based humanitarian organisation committed to building healthy and resilient communities in Fiji, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Margaret Liebregts as the new Manager Programs.
With an exceptional track record in program development and extensive experience in Research and Development, Margaret Liebregts will play a pivotal role in driving impactful initiatives and advancing the Society’s mission to building safe and resilient communities across Fiji.
As Manager Programs, Margaret Liebregts, will spearhead the development, implementation, and evaluation of Fiji Red Cross Society’s diverse range of programs. Her strategic vision and leadership will support the organisation’s efforts in addressing critical issues such as disaster preparedness and response, health promotion and community engagement.
With a focus on inclusivity and innovation, Margaret Liebregts, will ensure that the Fiji Red Cross programs meet the evolving needs of vulnerable populations and deliver sustainable solutions especially to our Youth.

Margaret Liebregts brings years of experience in program management to Red Cross. She has successfully led various initiatives in different regions, collaborating with local communities, governments and other stakeholders to ensure effective and sustainable outcomes. Margaret Liebregts has a deep understanding of the complex challenges faced by vulnerable populations and a strong commitment to promoting social justice and equality.

Margaret Liebregts holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science from the University of the South Pacific and has demonstrated a passion for continuous learning and professional development. She has actively engaged in capacity building, attended international conferences, and remained at the forefront of best practices in humanitarian assistance.
In her new role as Manager Programs, Margaret Liebregts will oversee the coordination and expansion of Fiji Red Cross programs, ensuring they align with global standards and deliver on our Strategic goals. By fostering partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders, Margaret Liebregts will facilitate a collective approach to addressing today’s challenges and maximising the impact of Red Cross initiatives.
