Design and Development of Blood Donation Mobile Application
The Fiji Red Cross Society (FRCS) is a key humanitarian organization in Fiji, officially recognized in 1972 and part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. With over 800 volunteers across 16 branches, FRCS supports communities through disaster response, health services, and humanitarian aid. One of its major roles includes supporting blood donation efforts in partnership with the Ministry of Health. However, challenges such as low donor turnout, limited awareness, and access issues persist. To address these, FRCS is developing a digital solution to streamline donor registration, improve communication, and better respond to urgent blood needs nationwide.
